Contour everyone! Hihihi
I usually don’t use contouring techniques since it seems like too much work for an everyday makeup routine (i.e. not practical, not simple and too time-consuming for everyday use) but I occasionally apply highlights underneath my eye circles, especially when I look like I didn’t get enough rest. But contouring is best for special occasions like weddings, events, parties and etc. for glamorous, airbrush looking or defined makeup.
Anyways, I have new products to share from Étude House. It’s their Play101Stick contour duo and the blush. I believe the contour duo has only one color and the blush has 4 shades to choose from (I got it in shade #14). So basically, this post is not only a review but also a tutorial or demo on how I used the products for the first time. So I’ll start with basic contouring first and kindly scroll down to read the rest of my post.
My honest thoughts:
– Actually, I found it too subtle and not so opaque. I’m not sure if it had to do with the sponge applicator I used or not. I’m wondering if the sponge was too damp and as an effect, erased the contouring I did. The look didn’t turn out the way I expected (not like the pictures I always see on IG). After I blended everything out, it looked like I didn’t even make any effort to contour my face. I was honestly a little disappointed with the result but maybe there’s a technique that I’m not aware of when it comes to contouring. I usually go for contour powders anyways but I think I should practice using contour creams more.
After setting my face with powder, I proceeded to contour my face with my preferred contour products (contour powder) and put on the rest of the makeup to finish the look.
