Étude House CC Cream vs BB Cream! Who wins?
I have a love and hate relationship with these products, especially the CC cream. I was told that these products are meant for oily skin (like mine) but it didn’t seem to work that well since my skin got very oily by the end of the day. Then I read the 8 benefits of their CC cream and I now understand why my skin gets so oily after using it (one of the benefits of their CC cream is that it hydrates your skin!). What about the BB Cream? Is it meant for oily skin? Maybe since it leaves my face with less oil at the end of the day than the CC cream.I also noticed a few pimples popping up around my nose area which is not cool, and I admit it, I got a little sad about that but I continued using them to test their results. Thankfully the purging has stopped.
So let’s talk about the CC cream first since its my first time using it. The bottle contains 35g of product and it’s good for 12 months. It has SPF30 PA+++ and is a 8-in-1 multifunction cream which is nice. It is claimed to offer Anti-Aging, Stress Relief, Hydration, Whitening, Sun Protection, Tone-up, Smooth Texture and Luminosity.
I agree with the Whitening, Hydrating, Smooth Texture and Luminosity since I experienced them 1st hand. But as for the Anti-Aging, Stress Relief, Tone-up and Sun Protection I am still curious and wondering. I.e. I am not sure if it can prevent aging since SPF30 is not high enough to protect your skin from UV Rays. Stress Relief and Tone-Up also didn’t work for me since I experienced a few pimples while using it. But I love the scent and the packaging of the product which I also admit, is one of the reasons I still like using it.
Moving onto the Precious Mineral BB Cream – Cover & Bright Fit. It contains 35g with SPF30 PA+++ and is good for 12 months as well. I got it in the shade Honey Beige. The product claims to have ‘Double Fitting Concealer Technology’ for flawless coverage.
To be honest, I love this product, even if I disagree with their coverage claim. My skin looks so radiant & healthy when I use it and it doesn’t look too oily. It glides on smoothly and it doesn’t make me break out. But since it only has an SPF of 30 (like the CC cream) I suggest that you apply a higher SPF sunblock cream before layering the BB cream on top. This will protect your skin from the sun.
So for me, I love the experience I had with Precious Mineral BB cream more than my experience with Correct & Care CC cream.
